06//04 Purchased car in South Florida Moved to New York in Oct 05. 1/31/06 Sent 6th letter to GMAC asking for acknowledgement of notice of new address. No reply. They had to of received them becuase they cashed the checks that were in them!

Fractured neck and was out of work and found that in June of 08 I would have trouble paying on time and tried several attempts to speak to someone to make arrangements. I was connected to customer service, defferment department to god only knows department where I received a recording. I finally sent a letter in mid June telling them that the July payment would be late and I would pay total amount due in full on Sept 3rd. I heard nothing, no call no letter. I sent them $1200 on September 3rd as promised which included all late fees. 1am Monday morning 9/8 I was awoken to the Repo man knocking on my door and being nice enough to explain he is repoing my vechile and noticed I had baby seats in the back and allowed me to remove the belongings. Needless to say I was shocked! This must be a mistake as I did not hear from GMAC in any manner stating that the agreement was not exceptable. I have not yet received my car and have been told everyday to call back in 24 hours as their system is not updated yet. I asked them why would they just take the car and not even call me? They stated that my number in Florida is no longer in service..DUH. I said well what about a letter? "They come back moved no forwarding address" I said well if you didnt know how to contact me then how did you know where my car was? Quote " Miss your new address is on the checks" I said you mean to tell me that you claim that you have been trying to contact me regarding my payments, but could not find me but when you decided to repo my car you drove to the address listed on my checks? Now I don't know about many of you.. but, does this sound like a company that employees people with low IQ or what? I think that GMAC jumps on the chance to take back cars that are close to being paid off so they can profit. I will call again tomorrow to see if these idiots have there system updated and just for laughs ask them to verify my address. I will keep you posted on the nightmare with GMAC. Wish me luck all.

gmac repoed my son's suv from my property as we begged to allow us to remove my & my son's personal things ! I am 70 & have always bought GM's so have many friends & family! Glad they took the suv! It will be the LAST GM we or any of my family & friends will own!
