My husband leased 3 different
Chevy trucks through
GMAC over the last 10 years. After my
boss of 16 years became ill and I lost my job we were forced to file
bankruptcy to keep our home.
GMAC REFUSED to flip the truck when the lease was up on the truck for my husband to buy it since we had filed
bankruptcy...even though the
bankruptcy was dismissed. I started a
good job 4 months ago but was out of work for 1 1/2 years! 10 YEARS and OVER $50,000 with
GMAC! Now my husband will have no vehicle! How is he supposed to get back and forth to work? I have called
GMAC but have not received any good response. The man at the dealership told us that we are not the only ones in this position and not the only ones that
GMAC have left hanging.

Don't know if you are leasing or if you were purchasing the vehicle. If purchasing you may want to try to sell it outright to get enough for a payoff and down payment for another vehicle. If leasing GMAC will not help you at all. You will probably have to save money for a down payment on another vehicle - even if used. I understand that GMAC is having a lot of financial problems and they have screwed a lot of people who have helped keep them in business all these years!!! Do what you can to get away from GMAC. It would not surprise me if within the next few years they are out of business!!!
